Through this blog I am not sure what I hope to do. I have no real intentions or motives, I have no end I am working towards nor do I have any specific ideas I wish to transmit. I only hope to write and keep on writing, whatever I happen to write about.
This will be my 4th or 5th attempt at a blog. The first I attempted to do what many blogs originally were, and that is create a log of my life and put it out where the whole damn world can view it and think what they will. Dwelling on this fact I realize a blog of this sort is a narcissist’s dream come true.
After that I attempted to switch gears and go with what sort of things I actually enjoyed reading; that being things along the lines of news, editorials and reviews. Being a nerd as I am, this would of course be about things like anime and video games. This idea also floundered.
My latest attempt was also my most successful. Spur of the moment, after reading and seeing the praise garnered by people who did what I sought out to do, I made a World of Warcraft blog! This blog had a small readership and I had plenty to write about… for a week. After a week I had filled it with several multi-page entries and saw many people coming by and commenting, but I had nothing else to really write about. I could reiterate what I had already done in more detail, or go a little off topic, but neither seemed too appealing. I abandoned it soon thereafter.
So with this I hope to rectify the mistakes of my past. I will not hone in on one specific kind of thing to write on or about, nor will I choose a particular style or stance to take. I will merely write as I would in a journal or as an essayist would write: about whatever the hell I feel like writing about here and now in whatever style I feel would be fun or interesting to write in. The difference, however, is I will put this out on the internet where everyone can see it if they so wish to, or, what is much more likely, accidentally stumble upon it and become drawn in by my unique and utterly mesmerizing prose.
You may find an essay here, or perhaps an anecdote from my past. You could find a review of a game or movie, or some sort of event from my daily life. You may also come across me commenting on a certain bit of news or ranting about something that just pisses me the hell off. Perhaps with time I will specialize and really narrow the scope on which this piece of webspace focuses upon, but for now I will simply do as I please.
